Ministry’s representatives attended ITU Regional Forum
The ITU Regional Development Forum for CIS countries (RDF-CIS), organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), was held in Astana, Kazakhstan.
During the forum, ITU member states, sector members, partners and other stakeholders discussed the current situation and actions to be taken in the field of technological development, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and other modern solutions in the region. Regional and country priorities were also discussed in relation to the initiatives adopted at the World Telecommunication Development Conference held in Kigali, Rwanda.
The main objective of the discussions is to turn promises into concrete commitments that will lead to the implementation of effective projects set out in the Kigali Action Plan, including regional initiatives.
Representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport also took part in the forum. Thus, during the roundtables held on various development-related topics, reports on the work done in Azerbaijan were made and views were exchanged on current and future areas of cooperation with ITU related to forward-looking development.
