About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Ministry organizes voluntary blood donation campaign

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) organized a blood donation campaign on the occasion of 15 June – National Salvation Day.

The campaign was organized at the administrative building of the ministry by MDDT and the Central Blood Bank of the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Research Institute.

The ministry officials also joined the traditional blood donation campaign to help patients suffering from hemophilia and thalassemia and others to increase blood supplies.

Haematologists checked the health status of each donor in advance. After a medical check-up, the volunteer donors donated their blood.
