About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Ministry of Digital Development and Transport to work in an enhanced regime on holidays

Appropriate measures have been taken to provide the population with high-quality and uninterrupted transport, postal and telecommunications services, including the Internet, mobile communications, radio and TV broadcasting during Gurban Bayrami (Eid al-Adha) holiday.

In this regard, instructions have been given to the agencies of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, as well as to mobile and telecommunications operators and Internet service providers.

The relevant structural units have been brought to full readiness to deal with possible service-related problems.
