About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Ministry of Digital Development and Transport sends humanitarian aid to fraternal country Turkiye

We were all deeply saddened and shocked by the dire aftermath of the earthquake that struck fraternal Turkiye. In these difficult days, everyone in Azerbaijan seeks to help and tries to do everything possible to share the pain and difficulties of our Turkish brothers and sisters.

In turn, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has sent humanitarian aid to our Turkish brothers and sisters affected by the tragedy.

We wish speedy recovery to the injured and wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the earthquake in Turkiye.
