Ministry of Digital Development and Transport launched new international ICT trainings

The new training program has been launched as part of a collaboration between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and Pakistan’s Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS).

The selection process took place among students from leading universities in Azerbaijan, and their evaluation and participation in the program was carried out by COMSATS. 60 selected students got a full scholarship to participate in the specialized training program “Artificial Intelligence” and “Software Quality Control”.

The training program will run for 10 weeks. The first six weeks will be spent on teaching comprehensive theoretical knowledge and the next four weeks will be spent on applying their skills in real scenarios through intensive project work.

Starting October 23, the classes are held in the main buildings of Baku Higher Oil School and ADA University.

In addition to technical training, the program includes sessions on career development, especially international employment opportunities. Students who successfully complete the program will be awarded international certificates by COMSATS.

The training will continue until December 29.

This initiative strengthens Azerbaijan’s position in the global ICT market, helps train qualified specialists and makes a significant contribution to the country’s technological progress and innovation.

By providing full scholarships and comprehensive training, the program makes effective teaching opportunities more accessible to talented students. In addition to theoretical and practical knowledge, one of the main goals of the program that promotes successful career development, is to train highly qualified ICT professionals and eliminate staff shortage in the relevant field.

The partnership with COMSATS also emphasizes Azerbaijan’s commitment to international cooperation in education, strengthens ties with important organizations and experts from around the world. This is very important for the country’s global standing and knowledge sharing.

It should be noted that projects are being implemented with 26 COMSATS countries to further improve the quality of life of the population through science and the use of modern devices. The organization is particularly active in such projects in the Middle East and conducts ongoing trainings and workshops to develop the ICT industry in the region. In July this year, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and COMSATS signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in ICT and technology training courses.
