Ministry holds event on occasion of professional holiday

According to the relevant Decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, 6 December is celebrated in our country as a professional holiday of communication and information technology workers.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has today held an event dedicated to the professional holiday.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Javid Gurbanov congratulated the employees on their professional holiday.

Javid Gurbanov said the development of communication in our country is linked to the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The great leader paid special attention and care to this sphere, carried out large-scale reforms aimed at bringing the complex of communications and information and communications technologies to the level of modern requirements.

The deputy minister drew attention to the fact that nowadays the sphere of information and communication technologies is a priority in our republic and is always under the care of the state. Thus, the country is carrying out comprehensive work related to the development of the sphere of communication and high technologies.

“Today, our staff is working to develop high technologies in our country. We have chosen the path of improving management in our ministry and its bodies in accordance with modern standards of corporate governance and we are moving in this direction,” the deputy minister said.

Then, Deputy Minister Javid Gurbanov presented diplomas and badges of the honorary title “Master of Communications” and certificates of honour to the employees awarded the honorary title “Master of Communications” and certificates of honour on the occasion of the professional holiday and the 142nd anniversary of the establishment of telephone communication in our country.
