About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with representatives of Georgian Parliament

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev has met with a delegation headed by Chairman of the Sectoral Economy and Economic Policy Committee of the Parliament of Georgia David Songulashvili, who is on a visit to our country.

At the meeting, they discussed cooperation in the fields of transport and ICT between Azerbaijan and Georgia. The sides exchanged views on the work done in these directions.
