About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with Director General of Roscosmos

On 2 October, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev held a bilateral meeting with Director General of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) Yury Borisov, who was attending the 74th International Astronautical Congress.

During the meeting, the issues of training a new generation of highly qualified engineers and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
