About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with a delegation led by Ke Jixin, Vice Governor of China’s Zhejiang Province, who is visiting our country.

The meeting focused on transport, logistics, the development of the Middle Corridor, and the prospects for transportation along this route. They also exchanged views on the digitalization of logistics corridors.

At the same time, the parties agreed to establish a working group to foster cooperation in automation and digitalization between Ningbo Port in Zhejiang Province and the Baku International Sea Trade Port.
