About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with APSCO Secretary General

Minister Rashad Nabiyev has met with the Secretary General of the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization.

On October 2, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev held a bilateral meeting with Secretary General of Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) Yu Qi, who is on a visit to our country to attend the 74th International Astronautical Congress.

During the meeting, the expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and APSCO in the fields of science, research and education was discussed.
