About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev meets with US Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets

Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev has met with US Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets Arun Venkataraman, who is on a visit to our country.

During the meeting, the sides discussed cooperation between the two countries in the fields of ICT, innovation, cybersecurity, aviation and railway transport. At the same time, views were exchanged on the importance of the Middle Corridor.

The meeting also discussed expanding of ties in ICT and innovation and conducting joint trainings.
