About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev meets with Secretary General of Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev has met with a delegation led by the newly appointed Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, who is on a visit to our country.

The meeting discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation of our country with the Organization in the field of transport and ICT.

They talked about the measures implemented by Azerbaijan for facilitating transit along the Middle Corridor, including the digitalization of transport operations.

The delegation was briefed on the importance of the Zangezur corridor for member states and the work being carried out to build transport and communication infrastructure in our territories liberated from occupation.
