About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev meets with President of Islamic Development Bank Group

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev has met with a delegation led by President of the Islamic Development Bank Group Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasir, who is on a visit to our country.

During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for expanding of cooperation in aviation, railways and cloud technologies, as well as priority projects that could be implemented with the bank’s financial support.

The guests were informed in detail about the transport corridors passing through the territories of our country, the existing infrastructure, the work done in the fields of telecommunications and ICT.
