About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev meets with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Board of Investment and Minister of State for Petroleum

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev has met with Federal Minister for Board of Investment of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Minister of State for Petroleum of Pakistan Musadik Masood Malik, who are on a visit to our country.

During the meeting, issues related to cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the fields of transport, ICT and innovation were discussed.

The sides exchanged views on implementing transit traffic between the two countries within the North–South International Transport Corridor, increasing passenger air transportation, and setting up training and incubation centers in the field of digital development.
