About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev Meets with Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev held a meeting with Assel Zhanassova, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the current state and future prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the fields of transport, logistics, and digital infrastructure were discussed.

An extensive exchange of views was held on the development of the Middle Corridor, measures to enhance its competitiveness, strengthen port and transport infrastructure, expand the use of digital platforms, facilitate road freight transportation, and implement a new ferry project.
