About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev Meets with Chairman of the Estonian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with Marko Mihkelson, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Estonian Parliament.

The meeting focused on the prospects for the development of Azerbaijan–Estonia relations, particularly opportunities for cooperation in digital development, artificial intelligence, innovation and technology.

The sides also exchanged views on expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, and prospects for cooperation with Estonian technology companies.
