About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev meets with Chairman of Dagestani Government

As part of his visit to Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov has met with Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of implementation of freight transportation by rail and road, improvement of transport infrastructure and border crossing points, as well as cooperation in air transport.

At the same time, the importance of taking joint measures for timely and prompt resolution of queues arising from trucks at border crossing points was emphasized.
