About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev Meets with ADB Vice-President for Market Solutions

Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with Mr. Bhargav Dasgupta, Vice-President for Market Solutions at the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

During the meeting, discussions focused on the privatization of companies under AZCON Holding and the engagement of the private sector in strategic projects.

They also exchanged views on potential partnerships in areas such as the “Government Cloud,” as well as air transport, metro, railway, and road transport sectors.
