Minister Rashad Nabiyev meets with active members of innovation ecosystem

Today, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency organized a roundtable between Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev and active members of the local innovation ecosystem.

The event was attended by the local startup community, company executives supporting the development of innovative solutions and development of digital environment, representatives of official bodies and members of the public.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of views on the current state of the innovation and startup ecosystem, modern challenges and problems. The ample opportunities created for entrepreneurs by the incentives applied to the ICT sector in our country since the beginning of this year, following the signing of relevant documents by President Ilham Aliyev, were discussed.

In his speech, the minister spoke about the work done to develop, strengthen the ecosystem, the strategies applied in this area and stressed the importance of the new opportunities created in the field of ICT.

Ernst&Young representative Arzu Hajiyeva,  who attended the meeting,  made a presentation on the changes made in the legislation for the development of technological ecosystem in Azerbaijan.

Then an interactive discussion was held among the participants of the event. The minister and other officials answered questions from the audience on the processes taking place in the ecosystem, the reforms related to the creation of a new business environment, the privileges applicable to the activities of innovative companies in the tax system.
