About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev Attended the Second Session of the High-Level Transport Dialogue between Azerbaijan and the EU

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev participated in the second session of the High-Level Transport Dialogue between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU) in Brussels.

During the meeting, participants discussed the future prospects of the Zangezur Corridor and the EU’s potential support for the development of Nakhchivan’s transport infrastructure.

The session also included an exchange of views on cooperation in air, maritime, and road transport, as well as on existing opportunities and new initiatives to enhance transport connectivity between Azerbaijan and the EU.
