Minister Rashad Nabiyev addressed Global Forum on Transport Connectivity

The internationally recognized “Global Transport Connectivity Forum” has commenced in Istanbul, Türkiye. High-ranking politicians, transport ministers, representatives of international organizations, financial institutions, industry leaders, private sector delegates, and leading experts are attending the forum.

High-level discussions are currently being held at the event on the development and optimization of international transport corridors, as well as the strengthening of cooperation in the field of logistics.

The forum also included a closed-door ministerial meeting on the Middle Corridor with the participation of the UN and the World Bank. Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev stated that against the backdrop of changing geopolitical realities, the Middle Corridor has become one of the main routes ensuring the resilience of global supply chains. He emphasized that Azerbaijan remains committed to its obligations in this area and is taking consistent and purposeful measures to implement regional projects and ensure the security of transit flows.

Within the framework of the forum, Minister Rashad Nabiyev also held bilateral meetings with Türkiye’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu and with Simon Mordue, Deputy Director-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement at the European Union. The discussions focused on the current state of cooperation in the transport sector and the prospects for future collaboration.
