Minister Ramin Guluzade spoke at event organized on occasion of Kazakhstan's National Day

The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan organized an official reception on the occasion of the National Day of its country.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade congratulated the Kazakh people on the National Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and wished them progress, prosperity and peace.
Stressing the growing dynamics in the development of our relations, the Minister noted the historical relations of friendship and fraternity between the two countries and the location of our countries on the historic Silk Road between Asia and Europe.
According to Ramin Guluzade, the volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in 2018 amounted to $221 million, and for 10 months of 2019 – $ 191 million, which is more as compared to the corresponding period of last year. “There is great potential for further development of cooperation between our countries in the fields of transport and transit traffic, information and communication technologies, energy, industry and agriculture. Both countries are implementing large-scale infrastructure projects to take advantage of the opportunities created by the shortest route through the East-West International Transport Corridor passing through the territories of our countries. At the same time, joint efforts are underway to widely apply multimodal transportation in the Caspian region,” the Minister said.
Ramin Guluzade said the completion of the construction of Baku International Sea Trade Port, Aktau and Kurik ports, including reconstruction of highways and railway networks in both countries will increase the region’s transport and transit potential.
The Minister stressed that the Republic of Kazakhstan has always supported Azerbaijan’s right position on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and territorial integrity based on the international law. He noted that Kazakhstan’s support to the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was highly appreciated.
In conclusion, Ramin Guluzade expressed confidence in the further development and strengthening of ties between our countries.
