Meeting of Internet Connectivity & Internet Infrastructure Working Group of Business Environment and International Rankings Commission

On 2 September, a meeting of the Working Group on Internet Connectivity and Internet Infrastructure of the Business Environment and International Rankings Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held via video conference. The meeting was chaired by head of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Farid Ahmadov.

Detailed information was provided at the meeting related to the work done to develop a diagnostic matrix and draft roadmap for the implementation of improvements in the relevant field by indicator “Utilities: Internet Connectivity and Internet Infrastructure” of the World Bank Group’s Business Enabling Environment Project. Information and suggestions on additional information received from the Secretariat of the Business Environment and International Rankings Commission on the draft roadmap were heard, questions were answered and challenges ahead were discussed.

Following the meeting, it was deemed necessary to take additional measures to agree and approve in a short time frame  a draft roadmap for the implementation of improvements in the relevant field by indicator “Utilities: Internet Connectivity and Internet Infrastructure” of the World Bank Group’s  Business Enabling Environment Project. The working group head noted the importance of close cooperation in order to effectively use the opportunities created by the platform.
