About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Meeting Held with Uzbekistani Delegation at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport

Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Hasanov met with Ayubkhon Sultanov, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan.

The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in digital government, including the exchange of experience and opportunities for joint initiatives involving the myGov platform.

The sides also explored potential areas of cooperation in developing digital services powered by artificial intelligence agents, as well as in developing and implementing speech-to-text models for these services.

Particular attention was also paid to the development of the startup ecosystem.

The sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the IT parks of the two countries, expanding opportunities for startups to access each other’s markets and fostering closer ties between their innovation ecosystems.
