Meeting Held with Representatives of Caspian Policy Center at MDDT

Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Hummatov met with a delegation led by Afgan Nifti, Chairman of the Board of the U.S.-based think tank Caspian Policy Center (CPC) at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT).

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on transport, energy, digitalization, economic cooperation, and sustainable development in the Caspian region.

Rahman Hummatov provided detailed information about the infrastructure and institutional reforms being implemented to expand the Middle Corridor. The Deputy Minister noted that Azerbaijan is taking important steps towards becoming a multimodal logistics hub in the region. In this context, the application of digital transport systems, the modernization of ports, railways, and airports, as well as the development of the Zangezur Corridor, are of particular importance.

Rahman Hummatov also highly appreciated the Caspian Policy Center’s research and initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development, energy security, and regional stability in the Caspian region.

The meeting also discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation within the framework of future joint projects and analytical platforms.
