Meeting held at MDDT with Representative for International Cooperation of “Lincoln” Club of Orange County, USA
Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov held a meeting at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) with Benny Mor, the Representative for International Cooperation of the “Lincoln” Club of Orange County, USA.
The “Lincoln” Club is one of the largest business clubs in California, and its mission is to create an environment that fosters networking, learning, and access to opportunities for business leaders.
During the meeting, the prospects for enhancing cooperation between Azerbaijan and the USA in the fields of high technologies, transport, and logistics were discussed. It was noted that Azerbaijan places great importance on strengthening its partnership with the USA in these areas.
Samir Mammadov highlighted Azerbaijan’s achievements in the field of digital development. He noted that ensuring full access to broadband internet, establishing Tier III-level data centers, introducing the next-generation digital signature solution SiMA, and developing the MyGov platform have positioned Azerbaijan among the countries with a very high e-government ranking.
He also mentioned that cooperation has started with EPAM, one of the leading IT companies in the USA, to develop a new platform called MyGov Business, which will serve as a single-window system in state-business relations.
During the meeting, an extensive discussion were held on promoting long-term cooperation with companies affiliated with the “Lincoln” Club in both B2B and B2G formats, opening their representative offices in Azerbaijan, developing human capital, making joint investments, and creating joint venture funds.
