MDDT Holds Meeting with Senegalese Delegation

Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Hasanov met with a delegation from the Republic of Senegal, headed by Mamadou Lamine Diante, Minister of Public Service, Labour and Public Service Reform.

The visit was organized with the support of the Labour Centre of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

During the meeting, the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Senegal in the areas of digital development and innovation was discussed, including the work undertaken under the memorandums of understanding signed in December last year.

The Senegalese side provided information on the country’s agenda for the digital transformation of public services.

The sides exchanged views on prospective areas of cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the digitalization of public services, with a focus on the exchange of experience on the myGov platform.

The importance of enhancing the knowledge and skills of civil servants in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity was also emphasized. The sides also explored opportunities for cooperation in supporting the startup ecosystem.

The meeting is regarded as an important step towards promoting Azerbaijan’s digital solutions and strengthening international partnerships.
