IDDA and ACC Teams Rank Among Top Ten at “CIDC 2025”

On 9–10 October, one of Azerbaijan’s most prestigious cybersecurity events — the Cyber Incident Defence Challenge (CIDC 2025) — was held for the second time at the Baku Congress Center. The competition brought together the country’s strongest cybersecurity teams, testing their skills through cyberwarfare scenarios based on real-world attack and defense situations.

As part of the event, a cybersecurity solutions exhibition was organized. The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (ACC), operating under the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), was represented with its own stand, showcasing local innovative products “GAIA” and “Awero”. The functionality and practical applications of both solutions were demonstrated to visitors.

The program of CIDC 2025 included panel discussions. At the session titled “A New Playground for Cybercriminals: Smart Cities”, Shahin Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the IDDA, shared insights on the cybersecurity challenges of smart city infrastructure and discussed advanced defense models.

During the cyberwarfare competition held as part of CIDC 2025, two teams from the IDDA participated successfully. The IDDA team, “Digital Rangers,” and the ACC team, “Dopamine,” both ranked among the top ten in the finals.

The participation of the ACC in the event plays a crucial role in fostering both local and international partnerships in the field of cybersecurity, strengthening collaborative efforts, and promoting Azerbaijan’s cybersecurity capabilities on the global stage.
