ICAO holds ‘Search and Rescue Workshop’ in Baku

The European and North Atlantic (EUR/NAT) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regional offices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) are holding a search and rescue workshop in Baku on 2 October.

The event, which will last 3 days, is organized by the State Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

More than 70 representatives of ICAO and other international organizations and foreign countries, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, State Civil Aviation Agency, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, National Aviation Academy, ASG Aviation Services Group and SW Group are taking part in the workshop.

Elmin Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, who opened the event with an introductory speech, informed on the work done in the direction of legal and regulatory framework in the field of search and rescue.

Then local and foreign experts made presentations on cooperation in search and rescue operations, personnel training, legal and regulatory framework and coordination of operations, new technologies and other topics.

It should be noted that on the last day of the workshop a tabletop interactive training will be held.
