Global Business Summit held via video link

The Global Business Summit, organized by Estonia and the United Arab Emirates, was held via video link.

 

The event showcased digital solutions to combat COVID-19 from different countries in the fields of healthcare, education, e-governance, cybersecurity, smart mobility and logistics, finance and manufacturing.

 

At the summit, Azerbaijan was represented by Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade.

 

The Deputy Minister informed on the Government Cloud (G-Cloud) Concept in Azerbaijan, the project “Coordinated Schools” used in the fight against the pandemic, the “Coordinated Government Platform” for government agencies and healthcare facilities.

 

He said that with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, demand for digital technologies and infrastructure in various fields, including healthcare, has increased. In this regard, the Deputy Minister noted that a subsystem National Database on COVID-19 has been created within the framework of the Unified Health Information System. At the same time, he noted the development of a mobile application e-Tabib, which makes it possible to monitor and inform the contacts of infected people, to provide daily electronic services.

 

Elmir Velizade said that the “Rules for ensuring the security of Internet services” were prepared in response to the growth of cyber threats. The Deputy Minister informed the summit participants that various sources of information have been created to inform and instruct the public on cyber security issues.
