Electronic Security Service conducts training in connection with International Safe Internet Day

The Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport conducted a training on the safe use of the internet for teachers of secondary schools in connection with the International Safe Internet Day.

 

Some 100 computer science teachers from Baku, as well as Shamakhy, Gabala, Sheki, Ganja, Mingachevir and Zagatala took part in the training held at the Information and Communication Technologies Applying and Training Center, as well as in its regional branches.

 

Aysel Hadiyeva, an employee of the Electronic Security Service, spoke in her speech about the cyber threats that children may face, how to deal with them, and the basic rules of cyber hygiene.

 

The teachers who participated in the training will organize open lessons next week to inform students about the safe use of the internet and report their results to the Electronic Security Service.

 

The training, also organized with the support of the Ministry of Education, was met with interest. Various questions from the participants were answered and appropriate recommendations were made.

 

In his speech, Zakir Ibrahimov, an employee of the Information and Communication Technologies Applying and Training Center spoke about the trainings held at the center.

 

It should be noted that the International Safe Internet Day has been celebrated since 2004 at the initiative of the European Commission on the second Tuesday of February every year.
