Documents issued to seafarers to be mutually recognized between Azerbaijan and Serbia

“A Memorandum of Understanding on the recognition of certificates of the 1978 International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia” was signed during the official visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the Republic of Serbia.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Goran Vesic, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia.

The Memorandum of Understanding, which will promote the development of cooperation in the field of maritime transport, is of great importance in terms of mutual recognition of education and training in the relevant field between the two countries, documents issued to seafarers, as well as the creation of new jobs for Azerbaijani seafarers.
