About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Deputy Minister Rahman Hummatov met with Polish Deputy Minister of Infrastructure

Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rahman Hummatov has today met with a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland Marek Grobarczyk, who is on a visit to our country.

During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport, including railway and maritime transport, were discussed.

They also exchanged views on the second meeting of the working group on transport and logistics between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Poland, which is scheduled to take place in Baku in September this year.

In addition, a Letter of Intent on cooperation between Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC and the Port of Gdansk was signed during the meeting.
