Deputy Minister Rahman Hummatov meets with delegation from Mexico-Azerbaijan parliamentary friendship group

Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Hummatov has met with a Mexican parliamentary delegation led by Alberto Villa Villegas, Chairman of the Mexico-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group of the Chamber of Deputies of the Mexican Congress, who is on a visit to our country.

The meeting discussed the development of cooperation between the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Mexico and ties between the two countries in the space industry.

The deputy minister informed the Mexican MPs about the International Astronautical Congress to be held in Azerbaijan on 2–6 October. It was noted that the congress would bring together heads of the world’s leading space agencies, scientific centers and international organizations, as well as well-known scientists, high-level professionals from the private sector, young researchers and students.

They also discussed the issue of active participation of Mexican companies in the congress to be held in Baku.

The delegation said that Mexico is interested in enhancing cooperation with Azerbaijan in the fields of space industry, ICT and startups.

The Ambassador of the United Mexican States to our Azerbaijan Maria Victoria Romero Caballero and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Mexico Mammad Talibov also attended the meeting.
