About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Delegation led by Minister Rashad Nabiyev visited Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

A delegation headed by Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev has today made a visit to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The delegation first visited the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev and the museum named after him in Nakhchivan.

Then a meeting was held with Fuad Najafli, the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. During the meeting, they talked about the measures taken in connection with the development of the ICT and transport sector in the country and the results achieved.

During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the activities of sectoral structures and companies in the autonomous republic.
