Data Exchange Volume Between Government Bodies Surpasses 2 Billion
The total number of transactions conducted through the National Data Exchange System – “digital.bridge”, which enables information exchange between state information systems in Azerbaijan, has surpassed 2 billion. Currently, 80 government bodies and 180 information systems are connected to the platform, which is managed by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.
“digital.bridge” has been operational since April 2021 and serving as a central platform that ensures secure, fast, and standardized data exchange between government bodies. The system is a key infrastructure component of the state’s digitalization policy, facilitating reliable transfer and sharing of information. It strengthens integration between government bodies, streamlines interactions between citizens, businesses, and the state through the “submit once” principle, and enhances governance flexibility. By supporting the integration and stable operation of digital services, the platform accelerates the development of a unified and seamless service model across government bodies. Additionally, it acts as a core platform protecting the security of the national data infrastructure.
From January to October of this year, the system facilitated over 786 million data exchanges, marking an increase of approximately 89% compared to the same period last year. As a result, the volume of data exchanges conducted via “digital.bridge” in 2025 is 2 to 3 times higher than in previous years.
It should be noted that the National Data Exchange System (digital.bridge), operational since April 2021, is governed by the “Rules for the Formation, Maintenance, Integration, and Archiving of State Information Resources and Systems”, approved by Presidential Decree No. 263 of September 12, 2018, as well as the Decree on Some Measures Related to Electronic Government. The system also operates in accordance with the Regulations of the Electronic Government Information System (EGIS), approved by Presidential Decree of August 12, 2025, by President Ilham Aliyev.
