Cyber4kids training held as part of “Children’s Rights Month”
Cyber4kids training was held as part of the “Children’s Rights Month”, organized on the eve of the anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). The training was jointly organized by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) and the Electronic Security Service (ESS).
The aim of the training was to educate children aged 13–17 years in cybersecurity, informing them about the rules of cyber hygiene and personal data protection.
During the training, participants were provided with extensive information on cyber security, cyber hygiene rules, personal data protection, antivirus programs, malicious content, social engineering and phishing attacks, including cyber bullying by MDDT, ESS and AzInTelecom LLC employees.
Then interactive tasks were performed and answers were given to the questions of interest to the participants. At the end of the event, the participants were awarded certificates.
It should be noted that the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted at the 44th session of the UN General Assembly on 20 November 1989 and establishes universal standards that participating states must ensure for every child. Azerbaijan acceded to the Convention in 1992.
