Constituent meeting of Advisory Committee of Azerbaijani-Austrian Cooperation Council held

A constituent meeting of the Advisory Committee of the Azerbaijani-Austrian Cooperation Council took place in Vienna on March 29.

 

Co-chairman of the Advisory Committee, Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramin Guluzade addressed the meeting. He noted that the economic relations between Azerbaijan and Austria are continuously developing and recalled that last year an intergovernmental commission meeting was held in Vienna. The Minister expressed confidence that the Cooperation Council and its Advisory Committee will make a significant contribution to the development of relations in the economic and other areas.

 

Recalling his visit to Baku last year, Federal Vice Chancellor of Austria Heinz-Christian Strache expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for supporting the initiative to establish the Azerbaijani-Austrian Cooperation Council. According to him, the Cooperation Council established in the fall of 2018 will play an important role in deepening ties between the business circles, and the Advisory Committee consisting of government representatives of the two countries will make a significant contribution to this process.

 

Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev, Austrian Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology Norbert Hofer, Austrian Federal Minister for Labor, Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection Beate Hartinger-Klein, co-chairs of the Azerbaijani-Austrian Cooperation Council Nariman Bakhishev and Werner Müller also spoke at the meeting.

 

Then Azerbaijani and Austrian companies made presentations in priority areas: information and communication technologies, agriculture, healthcare, food industry, infrastructure development, etc.

 

In conclusion, the co-chairs of the Advisory Committee signed a protocol on the establishment of this composition.
