Aztelecom LLC covered 99% of Absheron district with high-speed internet
Aztelecom LLC established a fibre optic network based on GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) technology in Hokmeli, Gobu, Yeni Gobu, Yukhari Guzdek, Atyali, Ashaghi Guzdek, Pirekashkul, Chayli, Gobustan, Masazir, Saray, Jeyranbatan, Novkhani, Mehdiabad, Fatmayi, Goradil, Mahammadli settlements of Absheron district and Khirdalan city, as well as in Sulutepa and Chichek settlements of Binagadi district. About 146,000 households and business entities are covered by high-speed and broadband internet services. More than 50,000 subscribers are currently using internet services, and the connection of new subscribers continues.
With the introduction of the new GPON technology, subscribers are offered higher speed (from 100 Mbit/s to 250 Mbit/s) internet packages (Internet, Internet + telephony, Internet + television, Internet + telephony + television). The cost of services varies from 25 to 44 AZN depending on the selected tariff and user requirements.
To connect to the services, citizens can call 170 Call Center of Aztelecom, apply to the territorial service department (Khirdalan, Central EATS, address: M.A. Rasulzade 5, phone: 342-33-00) or submit an application through the official website (www.aztelekom.az ) of the company.
Relevant work on provision of high-speed internet in other regions of the country continues in a planned manner within the framework of the “Online Azerbaijan” project on the use of modern technologies implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
Over 1 million households and business entities in Azerbaijan gained access to broadband internet in the first 9 months of 2024. A total of 2.9 million households in the country have access to broadband internet. During the project implementation period, the number of households and business entities in the country with access to broadband internet increased to 99.1%.
