Aztelecom began providing Yevlakh region with high-speed Internet using GPON technology
Aztelecom LLC has built a fiber optic network based on GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) technology in Yevlakh city, Aran settlement, Jirdakhan, Iravanly, Hajiselli, Havarly, Marzili, Narimanabad, Duzdagh, Nematabad, Goyunbinasi, Malbinasi, Kolany and Ashaghi Salamabad villages of Yevlakh region. There are 18,008 households in the region covered by high-speed Internet. At present, 8,805 subscribers are using these services and the connection of new subscribers continues.
With the introduction of the new GPON technology, subscribers are offered higher-speed Internet packages (from 30 Mbit/s to 100 Mbit/s). These packages are as follows:

–Internet+telephony
–Internet+television
– Internet+telephony+television
Cost of services varies from 18 to 54 AZN, depending on the selected tariff and user requirements.

Relevant work to provide high-speed internet in other regions of the country is also underway according to the plan within the framework of the “Online Azerbaijan” project on the use of modern technologies implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
It should be noted that for 11 months of 2023, in Azerbaijan about 888 thousand households got access to broadband Internet. In total, almost 1.7 million households have access to broadband Internet. This represents 58 percent of the existing households in the country. It is planned to increase this figure to 60 percent by the end of this year.
