Azerbaijan, Slovakia Discuss Opportunities for Cooperation in Cybersecurity

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) with a delegation led by Tibor Straka, President of the Critical Infrastructure Association of the Slovak Republic.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current activities and ongoing projects in cybersecurity across critical infrastructure sectors, including transport, energy, and digital services.

Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samaddin Asadov provided  information on Azerbaijan’s efforts in information security and cybersecurity. He highlighted that, under the framework of the “Strategy on Information Security and Cybersecurity of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023–2027” approved in 2023, a series of systematic measures have been implemented, and work in this area continues steadily.

During the meeting, participants discussed opportunities for cooperation in cybersecurity, with a particular focus on the transport and telecommunications sectors, as well as prospects for experience-sharing and joint projects between the public and private sectors.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on further developing cooperation between the two countries.
