Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center and SABAH Groups Organize Victory Day Hackathon

The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (ACC), operating under the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, together with the SABAH groups of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, organized the “Secure Tomorrow” hackathon dedicated to Victory Day. The competition was held within the framework of ACC’s “CyberPark” block.

Building on a successful collaboration, the competition—held for the second time—brought together bachelor’s and master’s students  from SABAH groups, with teams  consisting of three to five members each. The hackathon aimed to assess teams’ ability to combine open-source and custom-developed technologies in a resilient, secure, and efficient manner for analyzing malicious files. It focused on implementing innovative approaches in cybersecurity and integrating artificial intelligence technologies into cyber processes.

As part of the hackathon, the submitted projects will be developed to the minimum viable product (MVP) stage. Winning teams’ projects will be directed toward startup development processes, allowing students to turn their ideas into real business models.

Notably, the selection of participating teams was conducted by a highly qualified group of ACC experts based on specific criteria. Furthermore, the final results were assessed by a jury consisting of independent experts.

The hackathon aims to showcase Azerbaijan’s capabilities and potential in cybersecurity, while also supporting the development of the next generation of specialists.
