About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Automatic Travel Permits for Biletim.az Ticket Holders

Starting August 6, Azerbaijani citizens who purchase tickets through the Biletim.az portal or mobile app will automatically receive permits to access the liberated territories.

This functionality has been made possible through the integration of interagency information systems between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Permits issued for visits to the liberated territories via the Biletim.az portal are valid for a period of five days.

These changes have been introduced to streamline procedures for citizens and ensure a smoother and more convenient travel experience.
