Article on ICTA’s Activities Published on Ookla’s Website

An article has been published on the website of Ookla, a global company specializing in the assessment of broadband and mobile network quality, highlighting the monitoring of telecommunication service quality provided by operators and ISPs in the country, conducted by the Information and Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA).

According to the article, ICTA monitors the monthly performance dynamics of operators and providers based on Speedtest data and carries out objective comparisons. The declared regional coverage maps of operators and providers are verified against real test results, while a simulation panel is used to model the impact of quality changes by specific operators and providers on national averages. In addition, CellAnalytics data is utilized to determine routes for target area measurements (drive tests).

ICTA extensively applies data-driven approaches in regulating digital infrastructure and service quality. The Agency uses crowdsourced data provided by Ookla to support forecasting, planning, and monitoring efforts.
