A unified monitoring center for electronic scales created

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the State Roads Agency of Azerbaijan, by applying new technologies, pay special attention to the protection of the road surface, road structures and other infrastructure elements, prolonging the life of the road surface, ensuring safety and other requirements.

In this regard, a unified monitoring center for electronic scales was established.

The purpose of the center is to prevent violations of the requirements for permissible dimensions, weight and load of large and heavy vehicles to the parameters of mass per axle in order to protect public roads, as well as to ensure that large and heavy vehicles loaded with indivisible cargo are allowed to pass on roads.

The new center will make it possible to collect and process data from electronic scales installed on highways in a single space, as well as their use in accordance with the legislation.

Thus, administrative errors caused by large or heavy vehicles will be detected with the help of electronic scales and be sent to the center. Then, based on this data, it will be transferred to the electronic database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to ensure the issuance of an electronic decision.

It should be noted that electronic scales are planned to be gradually installed on all highways.
