About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Deputy Minister Farid Ahmadov met with delegation from Pakistan’s 9D Technologies Group of Companies

A delegation from Pakistan’s leading ICT company group 9D Technologies is on an official visit to Azerbaijan. The purpose of the visit, which demonstrates the interest of influential ICT companies in our country within the framework of residency in the technopark, is to expand bilateral cooperation, promote the exchange of knowledge and experience.

During the visit, the delegation met with Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Farid Ahmadov.

During the meeting, the deputy minister expressed satisfaction with the visit of representatives of 9D Technologies Group of Companies to Azerbaijan and provided information about the work done in the direction of development of ICT sector in our country.

Farid Ahmadov highlighted the importance of international relations in ICT capacity building.
