10,000th passenger visited Shusha on regular bus route organized by State Road Transport Service
The 10,000th passenger visited the cultural capital of Azerbaijan – Shusha on a regular bus route organized by the State Road Transport Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. Today, Orujova Gulnar Kamal gizi left Baku International Bus Terminal for Shusha.
Gulnar Orujova, a native of the city of Shusha, who left her hometown with her family when she was five years old, and 30 years later returns to Shusha with her father, Kamal Hasanov.
Gulnar Orujova noted that her family settled in Gabala as displaced persons, nevertheless, they grew up in the spirit of Shusha. “I have heard so many stories about Shusha from my parents that I feel as if I have spent my whole life there,” she said.
At the farewell ceremony, head of the State Road Transport Service Anar Rzayev presented Gulnar Orujova with a “10,000th passenger certificate” and a gift. He noted that the interest in trips to the liberated territories, carried out since January 24, 2022, is great enough. “To date, 312 trips have been made on these destinations, with 13,069 people visiting Shusha, Aghdam and Fuzuli. And today, we are seeing off the 10,000th passenger to Shusha,” Anar Rzayev said.
It should be noted that ticket sales for the routes are carried out online via the portal www.yolumuzqarabaga.az. The online ticketing portal has been integrated into the relevant information systems to ensure security and synchronize access to the liberated territories with the ticketing process and to identify those to whom the discount will be applied. Passengers must book return tickets in advance at the same time. Some categories of people can take advantage of free tickets on these routes once a year. This category includes the heroes of the Patriotic War, national heroes, members of martyr families, invalids of the Karabakh War.
Passenger drivers were involved in mine safety training by the National Agency for Mine Action of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA). They were provided with training manuals on basic safety rules. Videos on mine safety are shown in the buses to inform passengers.
During the trip, passengers are accompanied by police officers to ensure their safety. Passengers visit historical, cultural and religious monuments in the cities of Shusha, Aghdam and Fuzuli.
