About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Public Council under Ministry of Digital Development and Transport held its first meeting

On November 6, the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport held its first meeting in a new composition.

Organizational issues were discussed at the meeting. Siruz Abasbeyli was elected as the Chairman of the Council, Galib Gurbanov and Farhad Eyyubov were elected as Deputy Chairmen, Elnara Maharramova was elected as Secretary of the Council.

The work plan of the Public Council was discussed at the meeting.
