About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) have met with the persons responsible for public relations of the ministry’s subordinate bodies.

During the meeting, Asif Ismayilov, Deputy Chief of Staff of MDDT, and Rashad Bayramov, Advisor to the Minister, spoke about the innovations introduced in the field of transport and digital development.

Chairman of the Public Council Siruz Abasbeyli shared his views on the importance of public participation and public control.

During the meeting, members of the Public Council and persons responsible for public relations of the ministry’s subordinate bodies exchanged views on the issues of communicating the results of the work done by the institutions to the public.
