About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Public Council members met with management of AYNA

Members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) have met with Anar Rzayev, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA).

The Chairman of the Board of AYNA provided detailed information on the projects implemented in the field of passenger and freight transport by road.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on issues of public interest. The meeting specifically focused on topics such as organization of road traffic and public transport, cashless payment, parking, route renewal, mobility transformation and bus stop monitoring.

Representatives of the Public Council presented their views on the topics discussed to the head of the agency. Both sides stated that it would be useful to continue such meetings.
